Talent Attraction & HR Marketing Team Leader – Recruitment Unit (m/f/x) – Brussels – MSF Belgium  

CONTEXT 

Within MSF, recruitment responsibilities are shared globally among various stakeholders, including HR teams in interventions and projects, Partner Sections, and Operational Centers (OC). Our common goal is to address MSF’s human resources (HR) needs in evolving environments.

At Médecins Sans Frontières Operational Center Brussels (MSF OCB), recruitment is a strategic HR function focused on attracting and retaining diverse, skilled, and committed staff worldwide. Talent attraction marketing supports this by delivering a consistent, inclusive employer brand across all job openings. Standardized formats, tone, and platform-specific messaging enhance visibility, clarity, and appeal to global talent, while ensuring alignment with MSF’s values and improving campaign effectiveness.

As the Talent Attraction and HR Marketing Team Leader, you will manage two Marketing & Support Officers and a rotating group of interns, ensuring high-quality output and operational efficiency. In close collaboration with the Head of Recruitment, you will coordinate daily activities and implement strategic initiatives that strengthen MSF OCB’s global recruitment efforts. You will drive a unified, impactful approach to talent marketing—expanding reach, ensuring consistency, and supporting sustainable humanitarian action. Grounded in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI/DARA) and safe recruitment practices, your work will help build inclusive, representative teams that reflect the communities we serve.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of the recruitment marketing and administration team

  • Serve as the focal point for organizing and coordinating team meetings and activities, ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders

  • Ensure alignment and representation in marketing discussions with relevant departments (Communications & ICT)

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage interns within the unit

  • Support in leading and managing projects for the recruitment unit

HR marketing and Employer branding  

  • Strengthen MSF and OCB’s visibility across platforms to make it easier to find and attract the right people

  • Create consistent and appealing job ads so candidates quickly recognize and connect with the MSF brand

  • Adjust and share job vacancies across different channels like LinkedIn and ReliefWeb to reach more talents

  • Support sourcing strategies by creating tailored, compelling content that highlights the value of working with MSF

  • Analyze past recruitment data and workforce trends to shape smarter outreach and content strategies

Project and Processes management  

  • Develop, implement, and oversee communication, information, and knowledge management projects within the recruitment unit to improve efficiency

  • Serve as the focal point and subject matter expert for internal communication and process optimization across the recruitment team

  • Act as a key reference for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other internal digital tools

  • Advise and support the recruitment unit on initiatives related to information sharing, internal communication, and knowledge management—including intranet, SharePoint, and recruitment-related materials or campaigns

REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience 

  • Education or training in Digital Marketing, Communication, Information Management, Human Resources, or equivalent professional experience is mandatory

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Talent Attraction, Employer Branding, and/or Digital Marketing (social media, website management, CMS, Google Analytics, SEO, CRM, SEA)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project management, process management, or Talent Acquisition within HR

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in team management 

  • Experience in organizing and facilitating campaigns, webinars, events, and or professional networks is an asset

  • Previous experience with MSF or another international humanitarian organizations is an asset

  • Flexibility: Available for events outside standard working hours

  • Digital Communications: Media management, social media expertise (LinkedIn), and digital copywriting skills

  • Design Skills: Proficiency in design tools (Canva) for visual content creation

  • Systems Management: Familiarity with HR platforms and applicant tracking systems

  • Data & Analytics: Experience with engagement metrics (KPIs) and monitoring tools (Excel, Power BI preferred)

  • Organizational Commitment: Strong humanitarian commitment and motivation to work with MSF

Languages

  • Proficient level in English and French, both written and spoken is mandatory

  • Good knowledge of Dutch is required

CONDITIONS

  • Expected starting date: As soon as possible
  • Location: Brussels* (Belgium)

* Due to legal administrative constraints, given the duration of the contract, candidates must already have the permanent right as Belgian or EU national, and/or valid work permit with mention of "Unlimited access to the labor market" to work in Belgium 

  • Contract type: Open ended contract – Full time – homeworking possible 50% per week as per the MSF policy

  • Salary:  according to MSF-OCB HQ grid
  • Meal vouchers – Hospital Insurance (DKV) – Pension Plan – 100% reimbursement for public transportation costs
